- Koffer Packen: (packing a suitcase). The children sit in a circle and pretend to pack a suitcase. The first child says an item (i.e. socks). The second child say the first item and adds an item. This continues around the circle until a child makes a mistake, then he/she is out. Game continues until only one child remains. That child wins a prize.
- Schokoladenessen: (chocolate eating). A bar of chocolate is wrapped in several layers of paper and tied with a ribbon. The children roll a die, the first to get a “six” starts. That child puts on thick mittens and begins unwrapping the chocolate. Meanwhile the next child clockwise takes the die and rolls. The die continues around the circle until the next child gets a “six”. Then that child gets the mittens and package. This continues until the chocolate is unwrapped.
- Topfschlagen: (pot hitting). One child gets a blindfold and a spoon. They take the wooden spoon and crawl while attempting to find the pot with a prize under it. The other children yell “warm” and “cold” to give hints which direction to go.
